This website acknowledges that sex can be a positive experience, and that decisions about sex and sexual health are big ones. It has information on birth control, sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancy options including: abortion, adoption and parenting. It gives the very important message: It’s your body – it’s your choice.

Go Ask Alice! is Columbia University’s health question and answer internet resource. You can find new information every week, health information by subject via a search of the ever-growing archives containing over 3,000 previously posted questions and answers, and reader responses, and you can ask Alice a question yourself.

Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) is a national support, education and advocacy organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) people, their families, friends and allies through local PFLAG chapter helplines and support group meetings and resources. It is the largest grassroots-based family organisation of its kind. Their website has excellent resources for anyone looking for information or support.

The Coalition for Positive Sexuality is a grassroots, notfor- profit, activist organization and believes that everyone has the right to complete and honest sex education. The website offers a section for teenagers who are sexually active or thinking about having sex. It also offers a forum for teens to talk to each other.

 This website is committed to providing credible and upto- date information and education on sexual health. It is made possible with the guidance and collaboration of a team of distinguished Canadian medical organisations, and is administered by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. It has separate sections for teens, adults, parents, teachers and health professionals and provides tips and FAQs on sexual health. It is a fun space and also has an exciting game called the Sex-Fu Challenge.

San Fransisco Sex Information (SFSI) trains people to become sex educators and operates a free information and referral switchboard. They provide free, confidential, accurate, non-judgmental information about sex and reproductive health online and also on the phone. The website has an extensive listing of FAQs and resources.

 The Shakti Center is a collective that is trying to create a public dialogue on gender and sexuality in Chennai, India. They want to carve out safe spaces for individuals to explore their gender(s), their bodies, their sexualities, and their politics. The website has an exciting Zine project as well as interesting links to other resources.

This website is dedicated to women’s sexual pleasure and health. The website offers everything one ever wanted to know about the clitoris and female sexuality. It is an educational website for all ages to learn about anatomy, sexual function, and more. This website gives information on sex toys and other resources for women and provides a space for women to share their experiences.

The Pleasure Project takes a positive, liberating and sexy approach to safer sex. They think of it as sex education, with the emphasis on ‘sex’. They aim to make sex safer by addressing one of the major reasons people have sex: the pursuit of pleasure. There are sections on sexy projects and sexy tips and also links to other resources and websites on sexuality.
