Two useful information services are based at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) in the United Kingdom. BRIDGE supports gender mainstreaming efforts in development by bridging the gap between theory, policy, and practice with accessible gender knowledge. Available online are BRIDGE reports synthesizing key gender and development debates,
policies, and practices; bibliographies that identify and summarize key resources in specific areas; and a bulletin for policy makers and practitioners. ELDIS is a gateway to information sources on development and the environment. Its subject guide on gender and health covers reproductive health, the response to HIV/AIDS, and violence against women.
